A Moment in Time
The North Country Santa is the only Personality that is not part of the Boothman Sisters family. While many would like to claim him as a member of their family, most of us cannot. However, the holiday season was and is a very special time for us. Many nights and weekends were spent making gifts for family members and friends each having a special meaning. Getting the Christmas tree was a real challenge many years, depending on the amount of snow we had to walk through. But each year we just knew we had the best tree ever and when decorated it truly was beautiful.
These cherished memories were the inspiration for creating the North Country Santa. He is wearing his hand made snowshoes and using a walking stick to help him trudge through the deep snow. His wool robe with fur trim, wool pants and hand knit mittens help to keep him warm during his travels. He is carrying handmade packages, a hobby horse and doll all made to scale and fit neatly in the black and red plaid sack. We hope you enjoy the North Country Santa and that he becomes part of your Holiday tradition.
